Our clients had originally considered moving house due to their growing family and a need for extra space. But, weighing up the cost of moving – including legal fees and stamp duty plus the fact that they actually loved their family home, they decided to ask us to extend it instead. We think you’ll agree they made an excellent decision!
A total transformation of the ground floor has been achieved with a full-width opening into the Cool Building from the existing lounge. The marriage between the two rooms is completed with an integrated luxury vinyl floor. Three leaf sliding air doors bring the garden in, and a flat roof lantern floods the room with light. The Cool Building is topped off with a stylish overhead canopy.

Full planning permission was needed to extend this terraced townhouse within a gated community in London. Deep 2.0-metre excavations were also required to find solid ground. The Cool Buildings design team made sure that all materials used were sympathetic to the existing estate and great consideration was afforded to the neighbours who we wrote to and introduced ourselves to prior to works starting.
As per usual the on-site team were meticulous in their cleaning up!
