If you are thinking of extending your home we offer a free, no-obligation telephone consultation with one of our estimators. We will discuss your vision, budget and the practicalities of commissioning your very own bespoke kitchen extension, conservatory or glazed garden room.
Our estimator will visit you at home for a consultation and collection of information. At a second visit, a detailed specification and quotation will be presented along with drawings and/or 3D renders so you can really visualise how your house extension will look when completed. (We can email this for you to peruse at your leisure instead if you prefer). Next, there’s an option for you to visit a completed Cool Building, which we highly recommend. Our past clients are very happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have – of course, if you’d prefer to be accompanied by one of the Cool Buildings team, that’s fine too.
Once we have your instructions to proceed then all required planning permissions/building regs, party wall awards etc are undertaken quickly and efficiently on your behalf by our in-house Design and Planning Officer. Our construction dept. will then undertake a detailed and measured site survey. Lastly, a full building schedule of works will be agreed with you outlining weekly project targets before we start. You will also be introduced to your Project Manager who will be your personal point of contact for the duration of your build.
Of paramount importance is that on completion of your Cool Building your expectations have been exceeded and that you are completely satisfied with the finished result. Adding a new dimension to your home is always going to be disruptive so a positive experience for you throughout the project is essential. We aim to achieve this by limiting noise where possible to the middle of the day and capturing 95% of dust at source. We isolate each work area by erecting temporary fencing designed to keep our build team in and any children or pets out! Communication throughout is key and we set up each client with a WhatsApp group so that we may hold weekly progress meetings. Speedy build times are achieved by as much off-site construction as possible, thereby reducing the installation time and disruption to you at home and on site.
Before being handed over to you, the owner, final checks on each and every Cool Building are carried out and the build is signed off by either Jon or Derry. You can rest assured that all work will have been completed to the highest of standards – with noise, dust and disruption kept to a minimum and that your expectations will be fully met or exceeded.
